eDPI calculator
"What's your sens?" is a broken question — 0.4 at 1600 DPI and 0.8 at 800 DPI are the same aim. eDPI multiplies the two so settings can actually be compared.
What eDPI does and doesn't tell you
eDPI (effective DPI) is mouse DPI times in-game sensitivity. Two players with the same eDPI in the same game turn at the same speed, full stop — that's what makes it the standard way to compare settings within a game or copy a teammate's feel across different mice.
What it can't do is cross games: 280 eDPI is normal in Valorant and unusably slow in CS2, because the engines' yaw constants differ. The cross-game number is cm/360, which this calculator also shows when you pick your game. If someone quotes eDPI without naming the game, the number means nothing.
The "where you sit" line compares your cm/360 against the typical competitive range for your game. Being outside the range isn't wrong — wrist players live faster, arm players slower — but if you're far outside it and struggling with consistency, the range is a reasonable place to look.
Questions
Is lower or higher eDPI better?
Neither. Lower gives finer micro-adjustments and costs mousepad space; higher gives faster turns and costs precision. Competitive players cluster in a middle band because both extremes tax something that matters.
Can I compare my eDPI with a friend playing a different game?
No — eDPI only compares within one game. Across games, compare cm/360 instead; it's on this page once you've picked your game, and the converter on this site translates the actual sens numbers.
Does Windows pointer speed affect eDPI?
It shouldn't, and that's a rule: keep Windows sensitivity on the default 6/11 and raw input on in game, or your real turn speed stops matching any number on this page.
