Poshmark fee calculator

Poshmark takes a flat fee on cheap items and a percentage on everything else, which makes low-priced listings behave very differently from expensive ones. Enter your sale price to see the real payout.

How Poshmark's commission works

There is one fee, and which version you pay depends entirely on the sale price. Below a threshold Poshmark charges a flat dollar amount. At or above it, the fee becomes a percentage of the sale.

Those two rules cost exactly the same at one price: the point where the flat fee happens to equal the percentage. Below that price the flat fee is the bigger share, and it gets worse the cheaper the item — which is why bundling several cheap pieces into one sale nets more than listing them separately. Between that break-even point and the threshold there is a narrow band where you are slightly better off than the percentage tier, so a listing priced a penny under the threshold can actually pay you a few cents more than one priced exactly at it. Try prices either side of the line above and watch the payout move.

Buyers pay shipping separately on Poshmark, so shipping does not usually reduce your payout the way it does on platforms where the seller absorbs it.

Questions

Does Poshmark take a cut of shipping?

Shipping is charged to the buyer on Poshmark rather than deducted from your sale, so it does not normally come out of your payout. If you offer a shipping discount, that discount does come out of your side.

Why is the fee on a cheap item such a big percentage?

Because below the threshold the fee is a flat dollar amount rather than a percentage. On a very cheap listing that flat fee can be a large share of the sale, which is why bundling several cheap items into one sale usually nets you more than selling them separately.

Do I owe tax on what I make?

Possibly, depending on where you live, how much you sell, and whether you are selling personal items at a loss or running a business. This calculator only shows platform fees. Check your local tax rules or ask someone qualified.

Are these fees current?

The verification date is stamped above the calculator. Marketplaces change their fees, so if that date looks old, check Poshmark's official fee page before relying on the number.
